Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She currently works as a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since when she was nine years old. This skill allowed her to land her first job at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was later recruited by the CBS station as an sports reporter. In 2009 she moved to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Covering stories related to the trafficking of drugs and immigration from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she served as reporter for news on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5pm, then as a reporter for news on English for 9 pm, the news anchor was on until 10 pm, and then returned to the Spanish channel. In addition, she was used at times as a news and sport anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she takes on more responsibility. She did pieces on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She has been promoted to anchor the sports segment on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. In the same capacity, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collins was born and raised in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. At some point they moved into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. Her older sister is also hers. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she was remarried Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in the year 2006 from kidney cancer. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured a job. As a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of what she wanted to do with her life Antonietta visited her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. She loved the campus. They also offered her the major that she desired. When she completed her high school education, she attended the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the manager at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. In turn, she, tried to meet the standards he set and to not fail him.
